Title: Quick Cilantro Bbq Sauce
Categories: Sauce Bbq Herb Blank
Yield: 3 /4 cups

1/2cKetchup
2tbCommercial Jerk Sauce
2tbBrine from pickled hot peppers [banana peppers]
Several sprigs of cilantro; leaves pulled off whole and stem

I don't usually like or use ketchup but.... Made this the other day and it was good. I used President's Choice "Vague Memories of Montego Bay" Jerk sauce. It comes in two strengths: "The Timid Jerk" and "The Real Jerk". Didn't have enough so I used brine from a bottle of Bick's Pickled Hot Banana Peppers to stretch it out. Now this isn't real hot so you may well want to increase the heat with other peppers or pepper sauces.

Thin the ketchup with the other liquids, add fresh cilantro, stir to mix and let sit at least one hour and preferably overnight to let the cilantro taste spread throughout the sauce.

Good on grilled pork chops, fried sausages, as a meat loaf topping and as a topping with sour cream for baked potatoes.
